Richard Wexler served in the past as the Chairman of the United Israel Appeal and also as Chairman of the North American Council.  He is the former National Campaign Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United Jewish Appeal. 

He is currently a member of the Board of the UJC and Chairs as Emergency Communities Task Force. 

He is a former Chairman of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and the Chicago Jewish United Fund and currently sits on the Federation's Executive Committee.  In the past he served as Chairman of the National Conference on Soviet Jewry and as Chairman of Operation Exodus.

Richard Wexler is a senior partner at the law firm of Lord, Bissell & Brook in Chicago. 

A member of the Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors since June 1996, Richard Wexler served as Co-Chair of the Israel Committee between 1998 and 2002.
